List of things for childbirth

The Lviv Perinatal Center is fully equipped with all the necessary medicines and supplies. Therefore, prepare only personal items for yourself and your baby.

First of all, put the documents down:

  • Passport

  • Exchange card

  • Referral from the antenatal clinic to the place of observation if you are hospitalized in the department of extragenital diseases and obstetric pathology.

Your partner needs to be present during labor:

  • Identity document

  • A change of clothes and shoes

  • Snack and individual utensils if your partner plans to eat at our facility (please inform the staff in advance)

Personal items for the woman in labor:

  • We have bed linen, but you can bring your own if you wish

  • A nightgown with a fastener

  • Bathrobe or other comfortable home clothes

  • Socks

  • Towel

  • Hygiene products - toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and shower gel (disposable is better)

  • Cosmetics that you usually use

  • Thermal water in an aerosol for applying to the face during exertion (optional)

  • Slippers (preferably rubber, which are easy to clean and do not slip on the floor)

  • Tableware - plate, cup, spoon, fork. In individual postpartum rooms there are

  • Soft paper napkins or paper towels

  • Disposable diapers 90 by 60 or 60/60

  • Things you are used to spending your free time with - a mobile phone and charger, tablet or laptop, etc.

  • Non-carbonated water

  • Snack in labor - natural chocolate, dried fruit, etc. (optional)

After giving birth, you will need them:

  • Disposable underwear (2-3 pieces per day) or reusable (2 pieces)

  • Sanitary pads (2-3 packs), some of them for heavy discharge.

  • It is strictly forbidden to use tampons after childbirth!

  • ​

  • Lactation pads

  • Nursing bra

  • Wet wipes

  • Soap

  • Compression stockings on the recommendation of a doctor!

Things for a newborn:

  • Disposable diapers 0 or 1

  • Hypoallergenic wet wipes without alcohol

  • Thin and bike diapers (2-3 pcs.)

  • Clothes - cap (2 pieces), socks (2 pairs), shirt, body or overalls (2-3 pieces) and gloves

  • Baby blanket or large towel

  •  

  • It is optimal to collect things before the 36th week of pregnancy.
