He studies the problems of genetic diagnosis of hereditary diseases (cystic fibrosis, phenylketonuria, hereditary muscular atrophy (HMA), myopathy, Niemegen syndrome, etc.), in particular, using polymerase chain reaction.
Head of a separate subdivision of the All-Ukrainian Association of Specialists in Medical and Laboratory Genetics.
Winner of the State Prize of the President of Ukraine (2008)
Member of the ESHG (European Society for Human Genetics) and the European Cystic Fibrosis Task Force (ECFS).
